What is SCIP?

SCIP stands for structural concrete insulated panel. The wall system combines an insulating core and steel reinforcement with concrete applied to both faces.

SCIP construction has an established history of use internationally. Through our partnership with Fortified Structural Solutions, we're bringing this building option to projects in Northwest Florida.

The construction approach is considered as part of the whole project: the design, foundation, roof, openings, site, and budget. We'll help you work through how it could fit the building you have in mind.

Why we're bringing it here.

Building and repairing homes on this coast has shaped the way we think about materials and construction. Hurricane Michael made that work especially personal and strengthened our interest in additional ways to build here.

SCIP is an approach we've chosen to bring into our practice as we continue to consider the right method for each project.

Our manufacturing partner.

Garrett Construction is a Licensed Building Partner of Fortified Structural Solutions, the American manufacturer of the SCIP system we're offering.

We bring local construction experience and a practical approach to planning and building. For your project, we'll work through the system requirements and coordinate the design and engineering needed to move forward.

From a backyard cottage to a full home.

We're welcoming inquiries for our initial SCIP projects, including full custom homes, ADUs, and additions. Tell us about the property, the space you want to create, and what matters most to you in the build.
